Children must be encouraged to experiment and to understand that, occasionally, failure is a part of life and not a cause for shame. They have to be encouraged to put themselves in other people’s shoes, even those who are suffering, as they’ll develop empathy by feeling for others. Once they lose the fear of feeling the pain inherent to life, they can humbly accept the uncertainty of the human condition: the fact that we know nothing of our future.
People who have a higher tolerance to uncomfortable situations learn to live better with doubt, which is essential to keep the brain “spongelike” and open to the new; they are also able to make honest assessments of themselves, an important skill for their emotional and intellectual evolution throughout life.

"ONLY IN BRAZIL"
One of my favorite albums is Fernanda Abreu's Veneno da Lata. Finally there is a documentary that tells the crazy story that inspired the album: in 1987, shortly after the end of the dictatorship in Brazil, 22 TONS of marijuana vacuum packed in cans were dumped in Rio's coast. Months later, big part of the 15.000 cans started washing ashore Rio and Sao Paulo, bringing happiness to thousands of people that never tried that high quality product - plus, for FREE. IN PRAISE OF PRODUCTIVE PROCRASTINATION: KEN BUTLER
On my wanderings I had the privilege to witness a good
number of experimental music acts. Bad ones, good ones, strange ones.
One highlight was a live performance from Ken Butler, an
American artist, musician and experimental music
instrument builder. I used to live up from Sideshow gallery in New
York, where the concert above took place in October 2011. Learn more about

Lately I've been writing a lot for the Brazilian travel market, leaving
me almost no time to write in english about my experiences off work. I'm
starting a series called "In Praise Of Productive Procrastination", to
share videos of interesting things I come across. Videos/audios

usually buried on my numerous HD disks.
